The divide between indigenous and other children is not limited to access to health care. These small, traditionally regarded as gifts of the spirits, are more likely to be born into a family with low income, live in housing in poor condition or living with one parent than other children. These findings emerged from two surveys released recently by Statistics Canada.

Half of Aboriginal children under 6 years living outside a reservation grow in a low income family three years ago, according to the Survey of Aboriginal children in 2006: family, community and child care. Among non-indigenous, it is less than one in five who lived in the same precarious financial situation.

Opinion Way poll shows that Germany is considered more influential than France in Europe by the French themselves. Hill&Knowlton presented Tuesday the results of this investigation by asking the provocative question: the influence of France in Europe: can we still believe .

Bruno Jeanbart, Director of Policy Studies of Opinion Way, was initially presented the findings of the survey, which was conducted on 19 and 20 March 2008, with a sample of 1,003 people representative of the French population aged 18 and older. The sample was constituted under the quota method.
